American International University–Bangladesh made distinguished academic contributions to the 3rd International Conference on Sustainable Education (ICSE 2026) held on 05 August 2026 at the Mandarina Hotel, Colombo, Sri Lanka. The conference, organized under the theme "Reimagining Inclusive and Future-Ready Education: Innovations, Technologies, and Transformative Practices," brought together educators, researchers, and policymakers from different countries to discuss the future of sustainable education. As a co-organizer of the conference, AIUB was represented through important academic roles alongside research presentations by faculty members and students as follows:
- Panel Discussant: Dr. Faria Sultana, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Economics, Associate Dean, FASS, participated as a Panel Discussant and spoke on "Human Flourishing in the Age of AI: Advancing Sustainable Education for Better Society." She highlighted the importance of promoting human well-being, ethical values, and sustainability in AI-driven educational practices.
- Featured Speaker: Prof. Dr. Md. Asif Kamal, Professor, Department of English and Member, Office of Research, delivered a speech on "Inclusive, Equitable and Culturally Sustaining Education Ecosystems." He emphasized the need to build inclusive learning environments that embrace diversity, equity, and cultural sustainability in preparing future generations.
- Featured Speaker: Dr. Md. Shamsul Arifeen Khan presented "Digital Transformation, Innovation and Future Skills for All," focusing on the role of digital innovation and emerging technologies in equipping learners with future-ready skills.
In addition to these distinguished academic contributions, faculty members and students from AIUB's Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) presented nine research papers on diverse topics, further strengthening the university's commitment to research excellence, international collaboration, and sustainable educational development.
